Craniosacral Massage Therapy
A gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork that focuses on relieving compression in the bones of the head, sacrum, and spinal column. Coupled with Total Body Balancing, it addresses the entire body, influencing all systems including the lymphatic, visceral, craniosacral, myofascial, and musculoskeletal. CST allows the body and
muscles to relax to their fullest potential and
clients can maintain this feeling of relaxation
for several days following a session.
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy
We treat both men and women with a
whole-body approach that gets to the root
causes of pain, leakage, or other problems “down there” – without relying on medication
or surgery. Your treatment will include
in-person or virtual sessions as well as creative and simple home exercise programs to help
solve your specific problem and get you back
to enjoying life.
Physical Therapy for Lymphedema
This special type of physical therapy helps control and manage lymphedema using Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), a gentle hands-on technique, along with meticulous skin care, compression bandaging/garments, and decongestive exercises. Your therapist will work closely with you to develop a treatment plan that will best address the swelling and fit your individual needs and goals. Maintenance management is also important and may involve wearing appropriate compression garments daily and decongestive exercises
to keep the swelling under control.
Male Incontinence Therapy
Dealing with incontinence can be particularly stressful for men, but there are solutions besides surgery and medication. A pelvic floor physical therapist is trained to conduct an evaluation of your pelvic floor muscles and identify problems you may have with muscle weakness, tension, and/or challenges with muscle coordination. Your therapist will then give you one-on-one instruction on exercises, self-care techniques and other strategies that you can use to solve your incontinence problem and regain your bladder control.
Occupational Therapy
Trying to navigate through life and accomplish everything you need and want to do can be a challenge if you or a loved one has a neurocognitive difference resulting from dementia,
a traumatic brain injury, stroke, ADHD, and/or Autism, to name a few. You and/or your loved one will receive guidance in identifying and developing the physical and cognitive tools needed to master daily living skills as well as recommendations for adaptive equipment that can help make your daily activities easier and safer.
Postpartum Recovery Therapy
This specialized physical therapy helps to address problems that can arise in the pelvic floor following childbirth. Sometimes the muscles in the abdomen and pelvic floor don’t return to their normal function, and this is where pelvic floor physical therapy can help. Following an assessment, treatment will be tailored to your individual needs and goals, including returning safely to exercise, regaining core strength, stopping leakage, or having pain-free sex!
Orthopedic Massage
The aim of orthopedic massage is to relieve pain while restoring balance to tissues and creating a fuller range of motion. Coupled with Total Body Balancing, it addresses the entire body, influencing all systems including the lymphatic, visceral, craniosacral, myofascial, and musculoskeletal.
Reiki with Chakra Balancing
A traditional Japanese practice that can provide stress reduction and relaxation, and also promotes healing. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind, and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and
feelings of peace, security, and wellbeing.
Done on a massage table with the client on
their back, fully clothed.
Counterstrain Physical Therapy
A gentle, hands-on technique that helps alleviate pain and tension throughout the body. This pain can result from daily living, injury, disease, aging, or surgery. In each session, we will identify restrictions in your body, and then restore it to normal by gently and painlessly decompressing any restricted areas.
Rehabilitative Pilates (Individual or Tandem)
Done individually or with two clients, in a private studio, Rehabilitative Pilates is a functional, highly effective, efficient movement with incredible results.
It can minimize pain, improve posture, develop strength, and increase flexibility and range of motion. In short, Pilates creates functional movement. It is the most effective practice available, helping you to achieve whole-body health and balance.
This safe practice can be modified to benefit
any age, fitness level, or state of health.
