Janine Hauser, DC

"I’m excited to be a part of a great collaborative healthcare team.  Chiropractic adjustments are an effective tool for so many ailments, but some of my patients need additional care and support that each of my Olathe Holistic colleagues specializes in. It's very convenient for my patients to be able to walk to their next Olathe Holistic appointment and know their practitioners are all informed and collaborative when

it comes to their conditions and their goals."

Providing Chiropractic Care for the Whole Family

I'm a Family Chiropractor who treats all ages, from children to adults. My goal is to help people live the life they desire without being restrained by pain, developmental issues, or other ailments. Even when not in pain, people of all ages can benefit from chiropractic care.

Adult & Older Child Care

Often, negative perceptions about chiropractic come from a lack of information about how chiropractic works, or in some cases, having a poor experience with another practitioner.

For these reasons, I take plenty of time to walk my patients through each step of the process during their New Patient Exam and carefully explain exactly what I’m doing and why. In fact, when I sense that someone is very nervous, I always let them test out my Activator tool themselves so they can actually feel

the level of pressure they will receive. Through my assessments, I’m looking at more than just their area of pain.  I’m also looking for neurological signs and function to assess what their body needs, to either address the current issue and/or prevent problems in the future.

Pediatric Care

Most of a child’s brain development occurs before the age of 6, their cerebellum develops before the age of 2 and their body is constantly changing.  A pediatric chiropractor can check that your child’s development and neurological signs are on track, and catch problems before they become bigger issues. My adjustments are very gentle, and I use the lowest amount of force necessary for all patients. That's especially important to know because I adjust babies and children, as well as adults. When performing adjustments on my smallest patients, the force needed is equivalent to that of feeling the ripeness of an avocado. As a child grows, their body can handle more input, but their stage of development is always a large factor in how decide to adjust them.

Pregnancy Care

I am certified in the Webster technique, which is designed specifically for pregnant patients. This technique is very gentle and applies very low force, yet it's highly effect at helping to balance the bones, muscles, and ligaments in the pelvis, which s essential for optimal pregnancy, and also for preparing the mother’s body for birth.  Pregnant patients have a hormone called relaxin, that makes their joints more mobile than usual.  A chiropractor trained in Webster understands the extra concerns surrounding pregnancy. When I was pregnant, I received adjustments using this technique throughout my nine months. I would highly recommend to all my pregnant friends that they see a Webster-trained chiropractor.
